I’m super excited to be back with
our updates for the month. I know
it’s been a while since we last
talked, but don’t worry, we haven’t
been sitting on our hands! We’ve
been busy working hard behind the
scenes.
Last month was super exciting for us
especially with our funding
announcement! But before I talk more
about it I would like to thank you
for your constant support, feedback
and appreciation❤️
Now diving into what we’ve been up
to, here are all the updates from
our side:
|
Our goal is to provide you with the
best experience possible and we
strive towards constant improvement.
If you haven't updated to the latest
version of our SDKs yet, you can do
so now!

Launching Multiple New Web
SDKs
|
Our SDK Categories:
-
Core SDK: The
data only layer that allows you to
build your own UI from scratch,
while being easy to use, providing
high-level primitives and
abstracting all complex media and
networking optimizations from the
end-user.
-
UI Kit: A layered
UI Kit. Use a single “prebuilt”
like component to get started as
quickly as you could before and go
down layers as the need evolves.
Ease of use with unlimited
customization possibilities.
All the SDKs we are
launching:
-
Core SDK:
Low-level yet easy to use Video
SDK.
-
React Core SDK:
React Hooks based low-level yet
easy to use Video SDK.
-
React UI Kit:
React components to build
real-time communication user
interfaces
-
Angular UI Kit:
Angular components to build
real-time communication user
interfaces.
-
Web Components UI Kit:
Web Components based framework
independent kit to build real-time
communication user
interfaces.

Dyte’s co-founder and CEO Abhishek
Kankani talks about what culture
means to us here at Dyte and the
values that define and bind us
together as a team- Transparency,
Quality, Ownership, Simplicity,
Strong Ethics, Innovation and
Individuality
|
At Dyte we strive to provide the
most seamless experience for
implementing our video SDK and we
understand every real-time
application needs monitoring and
metrics to provide quality of
service.
The new developer portal revamp will
allow developers to track call
statistics for meetings and
individual users to give insights
into any issues with client-side
performance or delivery. These
changes will be the beginning of a
large suite of tools available to
track and manage quality of service
in any Dyte-powered video
platform.
|
Dyte CLI brings Dyte to your
terminal. It reduces context
switching, helps you focus, and
empowers you to more easily script
and create your own workflows on top
of Dyte.
With our CLI, you can:
-
Run your entire Dyte workflow from
the terminal, from meetings
through recordings
-
Play around with webhooks
-
Release your own custom
plugins
|
At Dyte we’ve set up some automation
in every stage of development. We
have internal tools to set up
development environments for our
engineers, and CLIs to automate
tasks during on-call duties. We’ve
gone so far as setting up
auto-generation of documentation,
open-API spec files, and
even auto-updating the versions of our
sample apps
whenever a new SDK version is
released.
This automation is one of the main
reasons we’re able to move fast -
since we spend less time and effort
in manual testing and manual
releases.

This blog digs into the details of
why we felt the need to revamp our
existing SDKs and everything that
went into launching multiple new
SDKs and UI Kits (stay tuned for a
detailed blog on this!) that empower
you with easier implementation,
extensive UI control &
customization, and a seamless
experience.
PS: Also a sneak peek for you!
