We are dropping by with some product
updates.
|
We won’t bore you with one of those
cliched'
‘we are hard at work’
lines. We’d rather save it for some
of the upcoming updates - because we
have lots and lots of exciting
things coming up. 🚀
|
Participants can now
join Dyte meetings
using a phone call
using Dyte’s SIP
interconnect.
|
But, what is SIP?
Session Initiation
Protocol (SIP)
Interconnect is a
setup that connects
two or more
different SIP-based
networks or systems
to enable the flow
of voice traffic
between them.
|
Simply put, you can
bridge VOIP calls
from any external
third-party service
to Dyte’s WebRTC
meetings and allow
participants to join
Dyte meetings using
a phone call.
|
|
|
Enable users to
debug the root cause
of some common
audio, video, and
screenshare issues
themselves via small
guided tests.
|
For instance, if the
user is facing an
audio issue, they
can perform tests to
rule out and solve
for common scenarios
such as device
permissions,
microphone test,
speaker tests.

|
|
With the new SFTP
storage backend,
securely and
automatically
transfer recordings
to your storage
infrastructure.
Existing recording
storages supported
are AWS S3, Digital
Ocean Spaces, Azure,
and Google Cloud
Storage (GCS)
buckets.

|
We are constantly
trying to add more
depth to stats we
provide. Over the
past few weeks,
we’ve added insights
to give you
analytics on what
went wrong in the
call, media, and
network
quality.
|
|
|
Now, track the
uptime of V2 Meeting
APIs over at Dyte’s
status page. And
yes, we do plan to
add more services
this month.
|
|
|
Android Core SDK now
supports video
middleware. You can
now build custom
video
transformations and
effects such as
blurring
backgrounds,
applying solid
colors, or
incorporating custom
images.
|
|
|
Add/remove
participants and
exercise better
access control on
the stage for a
Livestream or the
regular video call
in the webinar mode.
|
|
|
Server side
transcription
|
The existing
transcription
capabilities involve
sending audio data
from the client side
to a third party.
You’ll soon be able
to integrate
real-time
transcriptions and
post-meeting
transcription with
Dyte’s Webhooks.
|
This means more
reliable
transcriptions since
audio data would now
directly be parsed
from the Dyte’s
media engine instead
of retransmitting it
via a client.

|
|
All these updates
and fixes are are
available in wrapped
in the latest
packages.
So, if you haven't
already, we suggest
you update to the
latest version of
our SDKs
|
That's it for now
folks.
